Blue Purlin Screws are designed for securing purlins in construction, particularly in metal roofing applications. They have a sharp, pointed tip that aids in easy penetration through the roofing material and the purlin. The point helps initiate the drilling process without the need for a separate pilot hole. The blue refers to the Ruspert® coating. This consists of three layers: the 1st layer: a metallic zinc layer, the 2nd layer: a high-grade anticorrosion chemical conversion film, and a 3rd outer layer; baked ceramic surface coating, the synergy of these three layers, which combined have superb corrosion resistant qualities.
